Processing Schedule Best Byte guarantees same day shipment for all expedited and air FedEx packages for orders placed before 4PM CST. We do not guarantee same day shipment for UPS, USPS, or FedEx ground service levels. For these services we guarantee only that your order will be shipped within 72 hours Monday - Friday excluding holidays. All orders are shipped as quickly as possible, but weekend order backlogs ensure that these orders will generally ship next day at the soonest. You may elect to expedite any ground package for immediate shipment by paying a $3 service charge. This charge is refundable if we are unable to ship same day. In an attempt to serve you better we may change your ship method without notice to improve delivery time. The most common example is when a 2PM or later UPS express package is changed to FedEx express in order to make it out same day. Such changes are always made only with the best possible intentions. Please specify if you do not wish us to change carriers under any circumstance and we will always honor your request.
It's not for lack of effort. We ship all orders as quickly as possible. Expedited and air packages are moved to the head of the queue to satisfy urgent needs. Orders are placed on our website 24/7, even while we are closed on Saturday and Sunday. This means we open each Monday with a 64 hour backlog of weekend orders. During peak times orders are placed faster than we can physically ship them. Prevent potential delays by checking for your email order confirmation and ship confirmation email. Our packing stations generate a notification email as soon as the package label is printed. Once you receive this email you can be certain your order has been boxed and is awaiting carrier pickup. The tracking numbers are not active for 6-36 hours after carrier pickup.Check your order status here. Actually this question is often phrased, 'You sent me a fake tracking number! I want my real tracking number!' If this is your concern- don't be silly. The tracking numbers we provide are all automatically generated by our packing stations and are valid unless you receive a second reissued tracking number reflecting a ship label reprint or correction. The track numbers we generate are not immediately active. You can never track a package immediately from the emails we send. They need time to be scanned by the shipping carrier, transmitted, and loaded into their database which is usually 6-36 hours. Important: the U.S.Postal Service (USPS) does not offer real tracking service. The data we provide is called Delivery Confirmation service. It is not real time tracking like FedEx / UPS and often provides no information in transit. USPS is far more reliable than FedEx or UPS so we encourage customers to save money by using them whenever possible. Yes, as long as our security requirements are met. In order to process an order for shipment to an address different from the credit card billing address, we require that this address be on file and officially approved by the card issuing bank. Please be sure to include the bank customer service telephone number found on the back of your card. An alternate address request will delay order processing and the order will automatically ship to the billing address if the alternate address is not approved by the bank. Make sure you call your credit card company and verify the new address is on file before ordering. Most local banks or debit cards do not allow alternate ship addresses. Note to criminals: 'carding' is not a good idea at our store. We use multiple layers of fraud screening and aggressively pursue any attempt. When a fraudulent order is identified, we ship a normal simulated package and alert law enforcement at the delivery location. The consequences far outweigh the value of any merchandise we sell- so don't risk it. Usually there are no changes or cancellations. This can only be done within one hour or less of order transmission during business hours. If you need to change an order - CALL IMMEDIATELY 877-767-2983 or 832-524-6619. No order changes are allowed by email and emails will not be seen in time to do any good. Once an order prints and enters the queue for fulfillment it is final and we will not be able to stop it or change it. In the event a package is misrouted, please call the shipping carrier first. There is nothing we can do except to reship and we will not do so until a trace is completed and/or an insurance claim filed. Call the carrier- it is their job to help you and you have already paid for their service. 1-800-GO-FEDEX http://www.fedex.com/ If a reship or additional help is needed from Best Byte, call 832-524-6619. We can not give the shipping carriers special instructions such as 'leave on porch' or 'no signature required'. These arrangements can only be made directly with the shipping carriers. FedEx or UPS allow you to have a signature waiver on file which will automatically relay these instructions to the driver for all your deliveries. A signature waiver can void your carrier insurance so be sure before doing this. All FedEX/UPS packages are fully insured. If you receive a damaged package or your package is lost, you must notify the carrier immediately by phone at 1-800-GO-FEDEX or 1-800-PICK-UPS. Sending back damaged merchandise without a damage inspection voids the shipping insurance and no credit will be given. Damaged packages must be held for seven days with all original packaging for carrier inspection. If you don't save the packaging, the insurance will not pay. Don't give them an excuse! USPS shipments are covered under our own insurance with the exception of a package stolen after delivery. We are not responsible for stolen mail. If you live in an apartment complex, check the main office for your package. If you receive a damaged article, we will replace it however you must pay shipping to return the damaged item to us upon request. We pay shipping for the replacement. USPS shipments lost in transit are allowed one full calendar month for delivery before we will reship or refund. USPS delivery on average is far more reliable than FedEx or UPS, so we advise you not to hesitate using them as long as your mail is delivered to a reasonably secure location. Overall the lower cost for this service more than compensates for occasional loss. Every product we sell is covered by a minimum one year manufacturer warranty. See below for instructions on obtaining warranty service. Return shipping charges on warranty service are paid by the customer. Non-defective items sent back for service are liable for service charges. You may return most purchases in original condition within 30 days of shipment with all original packaging for full purchase price store credit or cash refund less 15% restocking fee. Delivery charges are not refundable and items sold with free or subsidized shipping are refundable only less actual ship expenses. Some product types may not be returned under any
circumstances: Any returned item must be in good saleable condition. A good way to judge if we will allow a return is to ask yourself if you would be willing to purchase an item in the condition you are returning it to us. We do not require separate RMA numbers. Please use your order number as the RMA number and please be sure to include a detailed note with the relevant invoice or order number, your contact information, and the reason for return. If you do not have an order number or require a separate RMA number for any unusual reason email info@bestbyteinc.com. For your protection we recommend return shipment with a tracking number or USPS delivery confirmation service at a minimum. Best Byte Computers We accept major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. Credit cards are preauthorized by our website upon order submission and charged immediately prior to shipment of an order. Authorizations will temporarily reduce your available balance and expire automatically. The duration of an authorization depends on the policy of the card issuer. The maximum duration by law is one billing cycle but generally authorizations remain three to five days. We also accept Paypal, cashiers checks, money orders, personal checks, Western Union, and wire transfers. Personal checks over $100 must clear before an order ships. NSF checks are automatically forwarded by our bank to Security Check for collection and all debts/fees become payable to Security Check directly. is one year. In some cases the manufacturer warranty may be considerably

Return ship charges for warranty service are the customers sole responsibility. As a courtesy Best Byte will pay ship charges from our warehouse back to the customer. We reserve the right to refuse this courtesy service to discourteous customers. We realize it is stressful to receive a broken or defective item. Keep in mind that we are not to blame and are no happier about any problem than you are. Be nice to us and we will do everything possible to help! No service of any kind will be provided to abusive customers. Products returned that are determined to be functional or are damaged through misuse (i.e. breakage) are liable for service charges billed at $30 per hour in 10 minute increments. All personal information exchanged with our website is encrypted using the latest generation SSL encoding. Click the Thawte trusted seal on any page of our website to verify our SSL security certificate status. During the checkout process you will notice the browser URL begins with 'https:' instead of 'http:' and the gold padlock icon appears in the bottom right hand corner of your browser status bar. You can also click on the padlock icon to verify SSL status. These indicators are all proof of a secure internet connection meaning you may purchase from us with confidence. BestByte would also like you to know that encrypting your order transmission is only a small part of our commitment to security. It is also possible that a hacker could steal personal information by gaining direct access to a web server that contains this information. Our server is hosted and administered by professionals in a state of the art secure facility. Notice the 'HackerSafe' logo on the left side of every page of this website. This certification indicates that our website is independently audited daily for vulnerabilities and meets the strictest government standards for computer security. The best protection we can offer is to remove credit card information from our webserver as soon as possible. This is done within 24 hours excluding weekends, and signature panel CID numbers are discarded immediately after use and never stored. Once downloaded your credit card number will only be stored in encrypted form on our local accounting server. We treat your credit card number as if it were our own.
